As I was contemplating a theme for December, the word “light” came to mind. As we live into the Christmas spirit and season of giving, my gift to you is the message in this beautiful poem by Marianne Williamson.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness That most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a luminous light being.
Your playing small Does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking So that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, As children do. We were born to make manifest The Divinity that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; It's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
This is the message of transformation. It is often our darkness, our challenges and our fears, that become the catalyst for personal growth.
Our longings and discontent can wake us up to decide for fuller and more purposeful lives. Living into our potential and possibility takes courage and rigor.
Make a decision to share your light with the world. Just imagine if everyone allowed their light to shine this Christmas? What a vision!

Wishing you much joy, love and much light this holiday season, Blessings, Lynne
